Bonjour/Hi! Max Coutard is a freelance illustrator & designer based in Toronto, born in Montreal, specializing in children’s books, comics and cover artwork. His style consists of bright colours, surreal imagery and charming yet sometimes, grotesque characters.
His approach consists of listening intently, disseminating technical knowledge and anticipating needs, so clients are on the same level when working on a project.
He works tirelessly to craft meaningful visual stories that engage communities and expand audiences on social media, print, video and elsewhere.
He has worked with start-up and apparel companies as a social media content creator and freelance illustrator. He’s managed Print Production departments creating manuals. He’s also directed ad campaigns and prototyped innovative print products to help bolster revenue. These experiences have afforded him a real sense of practical design.
